Thabiso Mofokeng is a versatile, professional writer and writes in Sesotho and English. Some of his Sesotho books are prescribed by the Department of Education. He is the founding director and publisher of Mosa Media and Book Distributors (Pty) Ltd – excelling in publishing and distributing quality books written in African languages. He is a freelancing Sesotho language practitioner for several institutions. He has facilitated and continues to facilitate various workshops in poetry and prose. Thabiso completed his MA in Creative Writing with Distinction at Rhodes University. Thabiso has been longlisted four times for the Sol Plaatjie Poetry Anthology. He is the 2016/17 Dinaane Debut Fiction Award Finalist. He is the 2017 Arts and Culture Trust Award Finalist in literature. He was named as one of the Mail and Guardian 200 Young South Africans 2017. He was longlisted for Barry Ronge Fiction Award 2018. He is the 2018 best writer in Free State, awarded by FS Department of Sport, Arts, Culture & Recreation. He wrote and contributed in more than 20 books and journals, in Sesotho and English. Thabiso works as a writer, editor, compiler, translator, proofreader, writing consultant, publisher and book distributor.
